The Shifting Gears Road Rally is a family-friendly event similar to the
reality show “The Amazing Race”, where teams, or “crews”, of two or
more compete by solving puzzles that will reveal locations somewhere
around Raleigh. Each team will drive to a location, or “checkpoint”,
and must complete a special task before they can receive their next
clue. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishing crews and other
fun prizes will be given out to those who don’t get “lost” along the
way!
Don’t have a car? That’s okay! Come on out to the fairgrounds to see the auto show, safety fair and kids’ zone.
Each crew is encouraged to raise $100 in pledges to support MADD’s
mission to stop drunk driving, to support victims of this violent crime
and to prevent underage drinking.
