The Oasis is the place to unplug and unwind, meet up with friends and enjoy the peaceful ambiance. The Oasis is located inside the Carr Mill Mall between Elmo's and Cafe Symmetry in downtown Carrboro, NC (which adjoins downtown Chapel Hill). Carr Mill shares parking lots with Harris Teeter and Weaver Street Market. With its 14-foot ceilings, polished wood floors, large windows and double glass doors opening into the broad hallway, it is one of the most beautiful and uplifting gathering spots in the area. In addition to tables and cushioned chairs, there is seating on pillows on the floor of a raised-platform area (shoes-optional). And yes there is plenty of free wifi and on-site parking! During the daytime hours, The Oasis operates as a traditional cafe and coffee/tea/wine lounge, serving the finest organic coffee, teas, and wines, and delicious pastries and vegetarian meals from Vimala's Cherryblossom Cafe and veggie quiches. At night The Oasis transforms into an environment of entertainment, connections and inspiration. Monday thru Thursday, we host free presentations on life-affirming topics. On Friday and Saturday nights we have live acoustic music, spiritual cinemas, crystal bowl and digeredoo meditations, kirtan music, and other uplifting entertainment. On Sundays, we open from 1-6pm. The Oasis is also available to rent for presentations, meetings, workshops, and parties.
