Following the success of their latest album 22, A Million, Indie folk band Bon Iver will be touring the Southeast US this Fall including two nights at DPAC. Aero Flynn will open for both shows. Bon Iver's new album (the first in five years) 22, A Million has received ecstatic praise as Justin Vernon delves into the realm of "indie folktronica" first glimpsed at in his 2009 EP Blood Bank. An innovative exploration into his own songwriting, Vernon challenges how he composes and what allows him to best convey a mood. From drastic sweeps of autotune to soft orchestral embellishments, Pitchfork gives the album a 9.0/10. This record was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2016 for the Best Alternative Music Album. Bon Iver is known to constantly and consistently push the boundaries of their sound, with a range of earthy folk songs, to lush orchestrations, to electronic fragments of a song.
